Ah, the mammaries er uh memories this box set evokes. I am old enough , just barely, to remember many of those songs. Like what was I , 6 or 7 when Boyce & Hart were popular and on shows like Bewitched. But for my money I'll take Nuggets over this one. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuggets:_Original_Artyfacts_from_the_First_Psychedelic_Era,_1965-1968 )
Yes, "Nuggets: Original Artyfacts from the First Psychedelic Era" put together by none other than Lenny Kaye, rock journalist and guitarist for the Patti Smith Group, without whom, punk rock miht never have happened, in my not so humble estimation. Okay, it probably would have still have happened.

"without whom, punk rock miht never have happened"

...Not really. David Bowie would have eventually invented it by giving his "Thin White Duke" era a different tweak, whuke the Talking Heads would have picked up the slack. And then again Patti had AbZero to do with the Limey form of Punk as exemplified by the Sex Pistols and The Clash.

If anyone is interested, The 1910 Fruitgum Company are still very much alive. They're based here in New Jersey with only two of the original members, but they still get booked up and down the coast.

What, no Japanese cover version of "Sugar Baby Love"? Or even the original? Well despite these glaring deficiencies, WOOT! My daughter turns 10 next month, which is about the right age for a lot of these.

Unfortunately Paypal is on my "do not call" list (so to speak), so it looks like I'm SOL.
