If it hasn't been said before... To those who complain of the stories/videos blogged here, at The Directory of Wonderful Things, as being too political, I have one thing to say. The wonderful things, the intellectual discourse, the fighting for the right to privacy and copyfight, even steampunk. These things are threatened with extinction if people like SP get in power. That is why the posts are here. That's how I've viewed it for many months, now.

I didn't watch the video, but from the posts so far, I'm sure it was funny. Bravo to whoever made the video.

Really I want to ask, to anyone that may know: Will BB have a special post for us to make comments while we watch the election results? It would be fun talking about the election while we watch the news. Win or lose, I think discussing the results as they come will be a good way to ease anxiety and express pleasure/displeasure about the final outcome.

You've only been posting since Palin became a topic. And you've only posted to defend her stupidity. Are you a Palin groupie? Are you a staffer trying to blend in and pretend to be "just a reader" and do a little damage control? For a moment, I found that hard to believe because you're doing such a bad job of it. But on reflection, it is what I would expect. She’s not sharp, so she isn’t going to have the best and brightest around her. It can’t be a very demanding gig.

Think we’re just being petty? Her lack of intelligence is an important topic of discussion. She's aggressively ignorant and she wants to be vice president. That’s not funny. She could do great damage in that position. BoingBoing is fighting the good fight when they point out just how dim she is. This little faux debate is just a bit of a giggle, to relieve the tension. But that radio interview? That was pure Palin, plain and simple. Everytime she opens her mouth, she inspires another ten thousand voters to get up early to be sure they can vote – against her. And she doesn’t seem to be able to shut up.

You’ll get scant sympathy here, you and the other couple of fellows who are championing Palin. (Unless you are all the same guy using different names) Telling these guys what they should be posting, telling us what counts as “Wonderful”. The cheek! As if you’d know. Scat! You wouldn’t know an LED throwie if it was stuck up your nose. You couldn’t tell Cthulu from the FSM from tentacle hentai. Go ‘way. You’re out of your element.
