Seen here is the magnificent cover of the new issue of MAKE:. The theme is, obviously, DIY spy tech. The cover and interior illustrations were created by none other than MAD Magazine art director Sam Viviano. Wow.

They were even the best part of the first season of Mad TV. And that first season was pretty good.

Some of this stuff had better be mentioned by Dick DeBartolo on the Daily Giz Wiz podcast.

I have to say I'm not a big fan of the new "spatter-paint" style of Spy vs.Spy. I miss that clean linework used in the Make pages.

Spy vs Spy was pretty much my favourite game on the C64. The whole split-screen thing, wasn't that a first?

Anyway, I'll look forward to bathing in game nostalgia soon...
