I'm about half way through this read. GREAT!!!! Ends up my wife is glancing it over. She was a student of So American Political history (particularly US' involvement down there). She says it seems very entertaining (this from a woman who reads Parenti [www.michaelparenti.org]).

I'll be back with a recommendation after I finish.

I've been comparing Bush to Caligula for years, except that Caligula was smarter. When Bush went into Iraq I figured he'd take a page from Caligula's book and have our troops fire some ordnance into the Shatt Al Arab and take some barrels of oil hostage for his victory parade. It worked for Caligula with his Victory Over Neptune and all those seashells. Unfortunately, we were ruled by someone either less intelligent or more malevolent, or both.
