AND I AM PAINED.

For during this exact same time, KAKI KING (incredible guitarist and science fiction movie fan) and THE MOUNTAIN GOATS (led by John Darnielle, American songsmith and horror movie fan, with a band that includes Wurster, drummer and legend of radio comedy) will ALSO be touring, BUT NEVER IN THE SAME CITY AS ME.

BUT YOU MUST NOT SUFFER as I do. Please go and see them, and say hello.

Yay, Mountain Goats! They're my favorite band ever. Just caught the tour in Denver last Friday, and it was amazing. Kaki's a great guitarist. I highly recommend seeing them to anyone who can go.

The show in Portland last night was BRILLIANT. I would suggest finding the appearance that you will make that will be closest to one that they will make and attempting to fly/run/hobo on over to see it.

Worth every penny.

Be well on the tour, and feel free to come shake up Washington. We know the information gathering requirements were a little lax regarding WMDs in Iraq...but we citizens have no idea how little the administration knows about Putin's pudding chokehold or the potential use of fingernail clippings as a renewable energy source. These are just the tip of the unknown unknown iceberg. Please help fill these knowledge voids.

I'd write more, but ninety-two percent of digital injuries are caused by excessive commenting within blogs whose names contain onomatopoeia. At least Dr. Watson makes house calls (although I find it somewhat creepy how he comes through windows!).
