The Casbah

Brian Parrish is the DJ of The Casbah, a weekly radio program on KSYM 90.1 FM in San Antonio, featuring surf-instrumentals, garage, soul, blues and more. It's my favorite radio show of all-time and is available in podcast form.

ah The Ramonetures... I love their album of X covers.
Do they play The Clash?
Damn, they've been 'BoingBoing'd'. They've reached their bandwidth limit and the download if "The Casbah" is no longer available.
Well, thank you very much Mr. Frauenfelder. As there are only two groups on this list I have even heard of, I am officially old. But in my defense, it isn't too loud (if I'm not wearing my hearing aids). Long live rock 'n' roll.
Boing Dotted, Try Later.
Apparently you cannot find out if you like it before you have to pay for it because they have reached their bandwidth limit.
C'est la vie.
thanks Mark, I got it in time.
Wha? This stuff puts me to sleep.
Maybe this rocked 25-30 years ago...a lame-stream list, not futuristic or challenging.
Clearly music for followers, not leaders.
This is GREAT background music when shopping at Macy's or Banana Republic, however, and am sure
Soccer Moms find it very 'edgy' - gosh!
that's OK, I too was fifteen once.
No access.
getback@8: "Maybe this rocked 25-30 years ago..."
I know it's all about "rocking" for you, Getback, but I doubt this music "rocked" even 25-30 years ago, as some of this stuff is over 40 years old.
Bummage...bandwidth reached....wonder how I can get it anyway? don't mind a little contribution if that's what it takes....
Been short-listing them for many years. Lotsa retro and other groovy stuff...hopefully the Boing Miasma will lift soon and I can listen once again.
Without actually listening, but just by your description, it sounds a lot like the Swami Sound System here locally on 94.9 in San Diego. Hosted by Swami, aka Speedo, aka John Rees from Rocket from the Crypt/Drive Like Jehu/The Night Marchers. I wish he would do a podcast, as I'm not usually listening to the radio at 10pm to 1am on Saturday nights.
You can stream the radio station though...

and they have an Audio on Demand option if you have your compy close by...

Hey Brian Congrats on the BoingBoing mention, that's huge for you, hopefully all these boingers will be streaming you're show October 18 when the In & Outlaws play their first on air performance.
... and I here I thought you meant the little basement club that plays host to the local 'classic' alt. (GAF/indust/"wave") night here in Indy... Mutiny!
Hello Boing Boing! Thanks again for the mention. I have 6,000 new subscribers in the last week. I've upgraded the podcast... hopefully the bandwidth issues are solved... fingers crossed!
Thanks for the support!
Sweet! It's back on! Rock on Brian!
peace,
