Today on TokyoMango, and I'm out!

Today on TokyoMango, I wrote about real live Pokemon that sold for nearly a billion dollars on Yahoo! Auctions; a new web meme that spawned from the prime minister's exit speech; and the first professional gamer geek ever.

Also, this is my last post as a Boing Boing guest blogger. I had a lot of fun sharing wonderful things with you guys—thanks very much for reading!

guest blogging is excellent. culture, insight, randomness are excellent. thank you lone guest blogger as you ride out on the wind.
the way people in Japan talked about rainy season with its own name and how it would circumnavigate the island I always felt as though it were a living person.
Lisa Katayama is like that monsoon wind (probly a bit milder) but small powerful like her dog as we've read recently.

If you look at it as a larger picture all of it looks photoshopped though, makes me wonder what buyers actually received.

Soumds like it'll all just get removed, though. (As in, this seems to have happened before, resulting in blanking of all reviews of the game on amazon.co.uk).

Looks like some sort of long-eared rodent. Its horrendous that they're painting an animal up like that and given the source, no doubt lead-based paint.

And what is the deal with the live 'Pikachu'? It looks like a Photoshop job to me (mostly the eyes and red cheeks; but did the seller actually get the money?

Ok, I REALLY need to know about this 'live' Pikachu thing.

It's driving me crazy. Are they real? In assuming that is a hoax, how could people pay that much for it? If it is real, what kind of animal is it, in knowing that we don not have actual Pokeman...?
