I would love to have one of him signing autographs, maybe on the red carpet in a tux, or hanging out by the pool with shades on, a boat drink, maybe smokin' a stogie and with a bikini babe on each arm.
I want to film a remake of Godzilla with modern special effects and a stoned scientist that defeats the monster with Hydrogen powered superweapons.
It will be directed by Ewe Boll and I can assure that it will be his first movie that doesn't suck.
If you like Godzilla, you owe it to yourself to see Godzilla 2000 and the Millenium Series. Modern remakes with a return to a rubber suit. It's a hoot and very enjoyable after that Americanized abomination we turned out. Godzilla the way it's meant to be.
Midknyte I have a dvd of Godzilla 2000 in the viewing pile as I type this. You are not the only one who likes that movie, and I'm looking forward to it.
Ah, the wonders of childhood. Some of my fondest memories are of Godzilla & I am so envious of Patrick Macias at this moment. Who wouldn't want those very special photos.
Now if I could just make Sony's 1998 atrocity vanish from history & memory.
Apparently the original costume involved a car battery suspended between the actor's legs. I once saw an interview with the first person to wear the suit, who claimed that he auditioned with one other person. The audition was very simple: walk as far as you can in the suit. The other guy made it 10 feet. He got 11.
one of my proudest possessions is a wet suit made by the company that made Godzilla. Wore it to my biggest attempted kill too.
where the hell is that lizard's OTHER claw? and why is the prop lady grinning like that?
that's Hentai Godzilla
or as my friend charley used to call him,"a big funky lizard, with a bad buzz on."

Here he is dancing with Dick Cheney (almost) and here's another shot on the set, of a knock off called Gomes, which was the same suit with added differences.
So Godzilla isn't as tall in real life as he is in the movies? I'm so disillusioned. I'll bet he abuses the film crew too.

No, no, no, Godzilla is exactly as tall as he is in the movies, those are just giant people standing next to him. AAAAAAAAAAARRRGHHH, They roar.

...Man, that lizard sucks at ventriloquism. I can see both his and her mouthes moving!
I'm constantly astounded at the happiness that overwhelms me whenever I see Godzilla. More pics, please!
If I had that suit, I would build a scale model train set with all the buildings, power lines and landscape details. You know what comes next...
"I'm constantly astounded at the happiness that overwhelms me whenever I see Godzilla."
That is a wonderful sentence.
Fantastic.
@12 Phikus, its fun even without the suit

Nanuq I hate to tell you but King Kong himself was only three feet tall.

I wonder if the sweat pools in the tail or the feet.
Takuan that is one of the strangest beasts I've ever seenl.
yeah, from my current mate's side of the family
I am a Fire-Breathing Dragon; you had better get in the flying car.

They grow up so quick, don't they.
Next thing you know the little tyke'll be crushing its first city under foot, then off to the depths for some eternal slumber..
Pah, I'm getting a little tear in my eye.. excuse me.
*sniffle*
Holy crap! They have had giant people in Japan since 1955? It must be from the radiation.
Fred H, on the off chance that you didn't see the link in the original article: MOAR candid Gojira pics!
Godzilla is an amazing character. And this ons set picture is amazing. Get me a good sized print and I will buy it.

Everybody needs a hug once in a while, and don't count on Rodan or Mothra to offer any solace.
I know of one guy in Philly who would love to have that suit.
