Astrobiology Rap

Sciencerappp I dig the Astrobiology Rap, written by Jonathan Chase, a post-graduate science communication researcher. Chase wrote the song for the new issue of the Astrobiology Magazine European Edition.

DMX meets X-Files. I like it.

Dr. Octagon knocked the outerspace rap out of the box 12 years ago.

I'll grant that Doc Oc's science was not as well vetted as this stuff, but he had Prince Paul and DJ Shadow providing the beats.

Also, this Astrobiology rap would have been better with Sir Menelik.

"Psychology is not applied biology nor is biology applied chemistry."

Go out and listen to the Octagonecologyst today.

Cheers for the post David. glad you found it of interest. Oort Kuiper.

To Mike the kid: Octagonecologyst was one of my favorite albums back in the day; cutting edge and inspirational. I have other styles that you might like more but nothing yet as blockbusting as Kool keith.

Sir Menelik spits pretty fast over hip hop, but i reserve those speeds for drum n bass. He is also American and i'm British. We need to promote and represent the UK Hip Hop scene, however I can see what you mean. I don't have a UK DJ Shadow but Check out 'DJ Risk1' on Myspace for Hip Hop; or 'The Silent Coup' for drum n bass.

My stuff as Oort Kuiper is intended to communicate science educationally. Watch that space for more stuff in the coming months. Thanks again for your interest. Oort kuiper (oortkuiper@live.com)

@ #6 (mike the kid) thanks for the clarification, I'm olde and feeble, heck I could be your Father, heh. ;)
