People started noticing runners on the beach when before they just walked by them as garbage. There always were feet on the beach,now every shoe gets checked and we are finding them.
Hey, I always checked sneakers for feet. And mysterious black plastic bags filled with heavy shapes of disturbing solidity. And that barrel I found. Then there was that thing in the van. And Bucky. I always checked Bucky's pockets for things...fingers, teeth, what have you.

Ah, yes, the annual Feet Migration. Making it onto shore for one brief night just to mate with each other and lay their Foot Eggs, only to leave them to hatch alone in the sand. Poetic in a way...
The smell's pretty awful, though.
I'm following this story with keen attention.
But somebody is removing the feet before they can mate! Something needs to be done now, before they are extinct.
These marine feet have got to stop beaching themselves! Has anyone tried keeping them wet until biologists can get there and determine if it's not too late for a rescue? Or perhaps relocation to Sea Foot World?
The answer is clear: We must visit the beaches and put thousands of running shoes out. Feet are a lot like hermit crabs--if they see a new and bigger nest, they will shed their old shoe and move into the new one. We can then start toe-tagging and tracking them.

Anyhoo, Mark mentions that he thinks a migration is underway. I'm not sure of what he means exactly. Sensationalism like maybe the culprit is moving south along the coast. Or is he referring to the ocean tides spreading the remains over a greater area?
I read in one of the earlier posts that these feet might be from a plane that went missing and is presumed crashed in the ocean. I can't recall how many people were on board, but I think there are too many feet for that theory to be born out. There are only six, but they are wearing different shoes. Last I heard only two of them had been matched, but that was a while ago.
