Public string/cup telephone

This fantastic string telephone installation was spotted in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I wonder who was on the other end.

UPDATE: In the comments, RUSHO18 writes, "There's another broken phone just around the corner that had a banana with googly eyes glued onto it hanging from a string. I got a picture of it off my cell phone, enjoy: banana phone"

Hey, I put the piece up in front of Blue Front on Packard and State in Ann Arbor. It was up for around a week until yesterday, it found it sadly squashed flat on the side of the road. I think it's awesome that someone put up another piece on the other side of Blue Front. Thanks putting it on your site. Keep the art up and the eyes open!
