Steampunk watch-movement jewelry and accessories

Watch-Cufflinks is the webstore for Etsy seller Edmdesigns, whose work I've featured here before. There's some really lovely stuff here -- I'm partial to this wingéd watch movement badge. Makes me wish I had more shirts with French cuffs! Watch Cufflinks

you could always go with the "Cuffless" ones: http://www.watch-cufflinks.com/cufflinks_by_style/CBS1020.htm
"They are called "Cuffless" because these cufflinks are designed to fit over a shirt cuff button on shirts without French cuffs."
You are gods for finding this. I must buy ten.
oh? wow
Yes, truly intricate and perhaps influenced by the Angel’s wings craze that’s currently spreading amongst good Christians that wear them like talismans or trophies. I see the “Angel” in this SP version has had its angel body and head replaced by some sort of clock-works. Perhaps it’s a statement regarding the mechanical nature of Devine beings. Or maybe it’s just an homage to Mercury—time is fleeting. So, Cory-dawg, buy your self a few more French cuffs. Indulge a little. Boss has some nice ones this season. Or just wear one as a broach (not on a T-shirt, please).
My wife used to make jewelry from watch parts. I'll have to tell her that she was actually making steampunk!
Hugo Boss was a Nazi.
card-carrying? or soup?
No, Moon, Hugo Boss designed for the Nazis. Besides, it's just a fashion house now and has no connection with any political party that I know of. Armani then.
This looks like something from Girl Genius.

Don't weep for the watch movements. The dominance of quartz has ensured that millions of moderate to low quality mechanical movements will never be needed. They are the 8-track head cleaners of the horological world.
Quite a few stores on Etsy have similar (if not identical) items. I suggest searching there.

But does it move?
That would be a heck of a selling point if the gears turned.
#7, No, Hugo Boss WAS a Nazi.

"but does it move?"
Alas, no. But, more importantly: will it blend?
As for Hugo Boss, I think he was just a run-of-the mill nawww-zeee, not a NAZI(!). There is a difference, you know. Just ask America's Favorite Astro-Fascist, Werner von Braun. He was on TV, so whatever he said must be true.
can you get them past the TSA?
Moon, when you were told to be a Nazi, you were one. So, does that mean you don't like anything connected to the Nazis? Or did you just write the entire country off as unworthy?
with respect to post 13, when deciphered it seems rather innocuous. While I appreciate the effort to prevent the comments devolving into puerile back and forth dissing, ala YouTube, why can't Holtt state your Steampunk is his steamjunk? I agree, the gears should actually work, rather than merely decorate. Steampunk is not my cup of tea, and this is an especially watered down brew. Tempus fugeddaboutit.
pop over to the Moderation thread there Frankieboy, all will be revealed
The irony (brassy?) is I actually sorta like steampunk. It wasn't an "enough with the steampunk" post, more like critical artistic commentary on the given example.
