Bar in a tree
This giant tree in Limpopo, South Africa is home to a tavern, the Big Baobab Pub. The 6,000-year-old baobab tree, on Sunland Farm, has a 155 foot circumference and walls 6.5 feet thick. Click the photo snips to see the entire images. From Life In The Fast Lane:
The tree has its own cellar, with natural ventilation to keep the beer cold...Bar inside tree (Life In The Fast Lane, via Fortean Times)
More than 7,000 visitors come from all over the world to see the grandiose Baobab every year and have a drink in its pub, which has 13 foot (4 meter) high ceilings and comfortably seats up to 15 people.
“One year we had a party and squashed 54 people inside, but I wouldn’t recommend that.” said (proprietor Heather) van Heerden.

...What? No video poker game? No pinball machine? No empty condom dispenser in the john?
[shakes head in mild dismay]
I've used an outhouse built into a 100 year old redwood stump.
That is, the stump was 100 years old, and 12 feet tall, and about 10 feet deep.
While this is awesome, I now have a strong desire for a large tree-house that doubles as a bar...
Treebeer always was my favorite LOTR character ...
I thought you would say Treebar, Stacy.
But this tree isn't full of Hobbits? If it was full of hobbits, they'd be able to fit way more folks in there and improve their revenue stream.
Limpopo is a real place? I thought that was just a made up name in a Kipling story. "by the banks of the great gray green greasy Limpopo River all set about with fever-trees" or something like that.
Anyway, six thousand years is a long time to wait for a place to put a bar...

There used to be a bar called Trader Vic's in a tree at the International marketplace in honolulu.
Anyone know if it's still there?
If I worked there I would just have to change my name to Tika Waylan ... hope they serve nice spiced potatoes ...
Hey Tika, I swear I'll do my best to me Caramon and not Raistlen. I'll even wear contacts. And if you like ellipses, I got a whole mathematics library, baby.
How many chances do you get to say that.
Trying to be funny, not creepy.
The Alnwick Garden Treehouse in NE England has a bar and restaurant inside. It is gorgeous.
