Author's book trailer for "Plague War" shot in the Sierras
Jeff sez, "Just ahead of the publication of my second novel, sci fi thriller Plague War, I (author Jeff Carlson) and two friends have released a 'book trailer' entitled 4 Minutes Above 10,000 Feet. Shot in the Sierra mountains, this short film can only be described as Alive meets The Blair Witch Project meets the new Andromeda Strain. " Link (Thanks, Jeff!)

This looks interesting but the question doesn't seem to be answered in this little video, WHY do they have to live above 10,000ft? Can't the nanotech work there just as easily? I can assume reasons but I guess that means I have to read the first book to have that answered.
What percentage of earth's land mass is above 10,000 ft? This looks like a great read!
Looks pretty cheesy. I'm very likely not going to read this book based solely upon this stupid looking "trailer"....
CD, I think the name is Plague YEAR, not War (that's what it says in the video, anyway).
doh! forget it. I just watched to the end. it is WAR.
He's an author and he says "I and two friends..."??
I hope he's got a good editor!
So I guess people eat each other until they're all gone? How far from Donner Pass was this filmed? Not on my summer reading list.

Yikes - external frame backpack?! That is so 1970's.
Seriously though, interesting sounding story. Anyone read it?
I could swear that headline said that the author was shot in the Sierras.
Wow, that looks like some quality literature. Or mass market paperback. whatever.
The first book is Plague Year, the second is Plague War.
Luckily, Jeff Carlson is a better author than he is a videographer. This rather embarrassing clip should not dissuade readers from checking out Plague Year, which I found quite enjoyable. Reminiscent of early Stephen King.
I won't speak for Plague War, not having read it.
Moon @ #6:
I don't have a big problem with "I and two friends," although a lot of such constructions in great quantity might cause me to stumble.
In any case, it's grammatically correct.
At least he didn't say (as folks so often do on teh intarnets), "me and two friends..."
