Array of medical manikins

Over at Boing Boing Gadgets, Joel spotted this delightfully odd collection of various medical training manikins. Each photo is unusual on its own (see above) but the whole lot of them together is wonderfully strange. Medical manikins (Oobject)

Well, I'm set for nightmares for the next week... thanks.
..a glimpse into my nightmares.
Looks a lot like the Chatterer from Hellraiser
Chatterer - Wikipedia
Isn't it spelled 'mannequin?'
Cenobites?
JM: That's what I thought, too, but according to Oobject that's only the spelling you use when you're talking about stuff that goes in department store windows. (Or on the back of your scooter.)
I think I know what I'm asking for this Christmas, i.e.: the Trauma Intubation Head. It's just what my ho-hum coffee table has been crying out far.
Looks more like dental than medical. Always wondered what they practiced on before they started practicing.
Mannequin... manikin... they seem to both be "correct".
Wikipedia redirects them both to mannequin, and describes "Mannequins in medical education", as well as listing a couple alternates that would be pronounced the same.
I'd call it a color/colour sort of thing.
OMNOMNOM.
Manikin is fine, mannequin is fine, but manakin is a kind of bird.
Is it "merkin" or "merquin" though?
manikn' - fantastik!
great setting for speakers, other's sounds...
I have never seen mannequin spelled that way, and I'm a little distressed that it's also correct. It looks so...anemic?
Those heads make me fear for my very soul.
Anaemic?
@ #5: Y'mean to get around the HOV laws?
@#4 that is EXACTLY what I was thinking.
"We have eternity to know your flesh..."
@#4 & #15
Exactly what I thought of too. Jesus. Or should I say, "Jesus wept"? I wonder seriously if Clive Barker saw these things and then thought up the Chatterer Cenobite. I wouldn't be surprised.
That said, I wanna dress up with one of these for Halloween. Talk about scaring children!
