BB pal Meri Brin spotted these beautiful trays made by French design house ibride. They're 23.5 " x 15.5" and the lace edges are laser cut. Available from Art Effect for $175 each. iBride bird trays

What is not mentioned is that they are PLASTIC!

I have seen these in person, they are great to look at but for 175 dollars I can découpage some tray from the thrift store with a cool image, polyurethane it, and have 170 dollars left over. No thanks.

The brand name is particularly apt: a French speaker would pronounce it ee-breed, the same as the word for "hybrid".

i immediately thought of some trays i saw on Elsewares.com and sure enough they're by the same person. Only these are only $65.
