This roll-top kids' chair has a sitting surface that works like an old-time roll-top desk, sliding away to reveal storage space for toys, cookies, siblings, etc.

(Thanks, Marilyn!)
It does work like one of those old-time desks. It also works like one of those new-fangled bodega security gates, youngster.
I like it a lot. Storage for kids, there can't be too much of. A little square of velcro under that tab might prevent it from opening while be sat and squirmed on.
unfortunately, my sibling is too large to cram in there. even if she cooperated, it wouldnt close. ...now when they come out with the grown up version, perhaps ill bite.

How many siblings can you stuff into it I wonder?
A roll-top toy box, that's all it is. You'll never get it closed. I know kids.
Broken roll top in 3...2...
cool idea, but would be utterly destroyed within a few hours of use by any normal red blooded child.
kids don't sit.
i like the idea, if anyone stumples upon a padded version for adults, let me know..
"... that works like an old-time roll-top desk..."
aka, a 'tambour door'. The rolly part is available in various lengths for those folks who might be inspired to try this at home.
