Portable cardboard work-table
This Icelandic cardboard table from Liborius Reykjavík looks fantastic -- I've seen plenty of flatpack cardboard furniture, but never one that was this elaborate (drawers!) nor one that was meant to be repeatedly disassembled and reassembled.

This lightweight, portable cardboard table aims to assist on-the-go creative types like designers and students, who are often limited to work on low desks or floors. Made by Sruli Recht from flatpack cardboard pieces, this lightweight, sturdy design offers creatives an ergonomic plane on which to cut, fold, draft or design. Adding even more appeal to this smart and useful design, the table is biodegradable and can easily be folded up to pack into a portable carrier.

If this thing costs a dime it's gonna cost 50 euro, as compared to FedEx box furniture which is FREE;

I wonder exactly how sturdy it is... I do leatherwork, which involves some hammering of rivets and the like.
I'm not certain that this is an ideal 'cutting' sort of workbench. What ever happened to swiping milk crates anyway?
Does it come with a chair?
I really dislike the coy pricing strategy many 'cool' businesses employ. You almost have to take the supercilious bastards down and sit on them to get them to name their price.
Pretty, but also looks pretty impractical.
why thank you (preen)
"...table aims to assist on-the-go creative types..."
Well that's not me. I'll just have to wait for the cardboard table marketed to the "stuck in an office 9 hours a day, disgruntled types."
I like the idea, and it looks cool, but it must take at least half an hour to put together.
Meanwhile, I can get a 4'x3' folding table for $38 at Costco, that's also lightweight and easily portable, and takes 30 seconds to set up. No drawers, though.
Looking at the picture, I thought that the table top might be adjustable in terms of angle, like a drafting table. The circular supports seem ideal for that, and the construction would make the angle stable once it was positioned. I thought this was brilliant. But alas, no.
re: my plaint @#5
Anybody find out yet what the damn thing costs? Yeah, I know, I know.... I'm pissed off, but I LIKE ITS LOOKS.
well, a razor knife and some old fridge boxes..
That would be a great design to make out of a more permanent material like plywood. In fact, a little copper paint...
