Spiral made from photos from Flickr's Spiral Mandala group

Jim Bumgardner's created this amazing "coverpop" by taking all the photos from the "spiral mandala" Flickr group and turning them into a nautilus spiral. Hover your mouse over the spiral and the image under your cursor zooms up. It's just lovely. Link (Thanks, Bruce!)

Did anybody else love that goofy Japanese horror movie "Uzumaki?"

This whole village is cursed by spirals, and seeing this picture reminds me how much I enjoyed it.

The shape it makes seems to be an Archimedean spiral, not a Logarithmic ("nautilus") spiral.

Actually, it is a logarithmic spiral, it's just hard to make out the inner part, where it gets really tiny.

The underlying image used in the photo mosaic came from this image, which I generated (using actual logarithms) years ago.
