Examples of the "spread Legs" design motif

Claire Lui of Print says: "In our Evolution column, we look at decades of covers and ads which have used the 'spread legs' motif, including James Bond and many, many others. Link

LOL, Mark's so excited by the subject matter that he forgot how to spell! ;)

Just in case you're hopped up on pain medicine and are having rational decision errors, I'll warn you all now that it's not an altogether brilliant idea to google 'spread legs' for things to add to this collection.
Best spread leg shot evah.
17 and 26 seconds in.
OK, the 26 second one is sort of off to teh side, but still.
May I take this moment to make a request:
List of films using the "walking/standing in front of fire/explosion"
Examples:
Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek in Desperado
Gary Oldman in The Fifth Element
Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man (blows up tank)
These are the ones I remember. BoingBoingers will assuredly remember numerous more.

Pflint, if you want to count "riding a motorbike" in that, there's Terminator 2.
Nothing beats Burton Cummings', "Woman Love" album.
On a related note - the Starbucks logo.
@11, how could you mention that and not mention Pooh Man?
Speaking of cliche pictures,
Would anyone know if there is a collection anywhere of robots/aliens/whoever carrying damsels type posters?
Its for, eh, a project or something.
@13, Disappointed to see he didn't do a cover of Chocolate Rain.
Then men who designed these covers are obviously tapping into a male audience that would love to see a naughty woman on the floor in front of them. For me, the cover for Prowl Cop says, "Oh my GOD that thing is huge!"
I've been collecting images of movie posters and DVDs (mostly teen sex comedies) that use this motif. It's funny to see how common it is:

Wow, I never knew this sort of concept was so popular. What is the point, really? It's not a particularly appealing design, composition-wise.
And what's up with the movie posters where the girl is holding her bra?
Very strange, all around.
