Poor word choice on recruitment sign

Do any Boing Boing readers from Nashville know if this sign is real or a Photoshop job? (via For Your Entertainment)

I'm going with Not-in-Nashville.

I used Google street view to check out the Shell gas stations closest to the Tennesse National Guard station on Armory Drive (which doesn't dead end anywhere) and there were none that also had a Jack-in-the-Box sign attached, nor were there any corners that looked like there was a little liquor store or grocery store across the street.

As a Nashvillian I can sorta vouch for the authenticity of that sign. I haven't given it close scrutiny, but I can tell you that it exists, the Guard office is indeed on Armory, which ends at a dead end. You'll forgive me if I don't pop over and look immediately.

I bet it's real, and the TNG probably really is that thoughtless. In other words, their PAO is probably not very media savvy. D'oh!

I agree with #3. The 615 area code extends to Murfreesboro and I find this address there:

National Guard

So if the sign is real, it's probably there. Unfortunately Google Street View doesn't cover Murfreesboro.

Way to completely miss the point, #1 and #4. Nobody's making any comments about the "company" of soldiers. The point is supposed to be that where troops are currently being sent is a dead end. Unless I'm actually missing the point.

Still, #1 and #4 seem to be more paranoid, or at least overly defensive, than those they are attempting to rail against.
