Something I have wondered. I always hear of A list stars going to IN-N-OUT after the Oscars and such. Seeing as they are zillionares and can eat anything from anywhere, is this place really that good?
@#3 - In-n-Out burgers are, indeed, good (their fries suck, though, IMO), but I think A-listers going there after the Oscars is more like prom couples taking the limo to the BK drive thru.
#3, #5: I agree, the burgers are awesome, though their fries are sub-par. They also have really good shakes. The best part, though, is the wackiness of their menu; though the printed menu only lists a burger, double-double (2x meat and cheese), and shake, the "secret menu" includes arbitrary drink mixes and arbitrarily large burgers (well, they've now capped it at a four-by-four, but that's still a decently-sized burger). Anyway, if you're ever in the SoCal area, you really ought to stop by In-n-out.
#5 and #8 can go jump in a vat of Fat Fries! The fries at In-N-Out are one of my favorite parts. Made from a whole potato when I order, it for God sakes! Usually if people don't like the fries I find they are fans of the crispy McDonalds style fries. I hate those kind those kind of fries.
I'm glad eBoy finally did an LA poster. I knew their take would be an odd one but it's fun.
In-N-Out is in three states: California, Nevada and Arizona. The reason it is not nationwide is because everything is fresh. There are no freezers in any of their stores.
Anyone who has read Fast Food Nation knows that is is the only chain that is endorsed in the book. They have a low staff turnover because they pay their staff well, and concentrate on making people want to continue to work there.
Nothing satisfies like a INO burger Animal Style. These days I take it wrapped in lettuce. I like their fries because they are made right there on the spot and are fresh!
No traffic jams? Did you miss the people having a tailgate party on freeway? (What, do you think those cars on the freeway are moving? The only thing moving on that freeway is the guy on the Segway.)
And that's not Disneyland, it's just one of the fancy neon-illuminated Disneyland billboards (with half the letters burned out, as usual).
But wait - where's the Angelyne billboard? :-)
As for In'n'Out, it's a best-of-breed specimen of its type: a quick-cooking, grab-on-the-go eat-in-the-car fast-food burger.
But if you have time to sit'n'savor, try Fatburger. It's worth the wait, and they have fresh onion rings and chili fries, too. Finest kind.
And GrimC is right - In'n'Out's an excellent fast-food burger, but any A-listers who head there after the Oscars are just goofin'.
Also, I think Savigny's got the right of it - La Cañada/Flintridge is a small town north of Pasadena, up near JPL. They do have a "La Cañada Blvd.", but it's not even one of the major streets in La Cañada/Flintridge.
They must have been thinking of La Cienaga (which I'll note is Spanish for "The Swamp", for the benefit of anyone under the mistaken impression that LA is in the desert).

Actually, we have a cienega in Palm Springs. You can have a swamp in the desert if the groundwater is close to the surface, although LA is definitely not desert. Sadly, we have no tar pits, unless you count the streets when it's up in the 120s.
I agree with the person saying they should've put Pink's in there. Musso and Frank's in Hollywood as well. But here's what is driving me batty; What are those geometric floating patterns? There is a green and yellow one above La Canada, a green one in front of the Hollywood sign, a pink one to the right of Rodeo drive (above the swat team clouds) and a blue one above that, right in front of the car wash. Are they vantage points for perspective drawing?
They should've put Abbot's Habit or Abbot's Pizza in Venice too!
I know they have limited room in a poster like this, but I don't see Pink's. Out of everything, I would have really liked that in there.
Mmm...Norm's...

Where in the world is Sean Bonner?

They have Rodeo, Melrose, and...La Canada?
Shouldn't that be La Cienega? I know there's a La Cañada Flintridge, but it's not a major LA boulevard.
OMG Zombies!

I've been hoping for this since the Tokyo one - now I can spend hours picking out the details... brown squirrel vs. grey squirrel...
Clearly if you don't think In-N-Out's fries are awesome you haven't tried them animal style. Instant heart attack FTW.
Oh also, when it's wrapped in lettuce it's called Protein Style. I get a Double Double Animal Protein
Because this is pixel art, the cool thing about the linked version of this picture is this:
It's a *full* resolution version of the real thing. You can print this up to billboard size and it will still look perfect.
Thanks eBoy!
is it just me, or is this poster missing the L.A. Parking Enforcement vehicles? certainly SOMEbody in this poster is getting a ticket.
I know it's supposed to be a fantasy depiction of L.A., but... no traffic jams? And, for cryin' out loud, Disneyland is in Anaheim.

The porno shoot on the rooftop of the house/condo in the upper right-hand side is a nice touch.
