Video about underground comix history book

This video, made in 2003, was produced to promote Rebel Visions: The Underground Comix Revolution 1963-1975 by Patrick Rosencrantz. The video has interviews with Gilbert Shelton, R. Crumb, Rick Griffin, Spain Rodriguez, Robert Williams and Justin Green. (I reviewed the hardback edition in 2003 for the LA Weekly) Fantagraphics has just released a revised and expanded paperback edition. Link

Mark, this is awesome. Damn, I wish I'd seen in two days ago -- I just did a whole piece on the 7 all-time coolest pieces of guerrilla art and, granted, the comic subculture isn't exactly "guerrilla art" but I would've still liked to feature it.

Aw well, proof BoingBoing should always be the first thing I look at on my Google Reader hehe

Well, Brainpicker, being as it was posted today I don't think looking earlier would have helped. Unless your Google Reader is capable of much more impressive things than mine- and in which case, where's the plugin?

I will be sure and get this over to my cousin. He was a huge collector in the 60s and will enjoy this video and book. I remember when he showed me the Freak Brothers comics. Those were really "eye opening" for that time period.
