I'm looking forward to seeing you. I'll be the one that looks like a giant rabbit.

Unfortunately, according to Google it'd take me somewhere near 6 hours of driving to get from Ashland University, Ohio to Toronto. I don't even know if they'd let me cross the border (though I suppose I could swim Lake Erie).

But I'd love to meet you in person, Cory. Hope the event goes well. Can't wait for you to post the free PDF download.

I just finished Little Brother last night. What an amazing primer in free thought!
I can't say enough how much I enjoyed it.
Tell me it's been optioned.

Can't wait for the movie.

Did you see that _Little Brother_ was featured in _Unshelved,_ the comic strip for librarians?! See http://www.unshelved.com/archive.aspx?strip=20080427

It was fun. While the wonders of the internet allow us unprecedented communication.. there's something to be said for seeing people in the flesh. I got through the first few chapters waiting in line to get my copy of Little Brother autographed. Looking forward to finishing it this weekend.

Thank you for that, Janet Brennan Croft, my next few days will be filled with wonderful library-humor!

The reading and Q&A was super, and being able to finally pay Cory in person for the e-books I've downloaded and read was very satisfying.

I picked up 'Little Brother' and 'Someone comes to town...' while I was there (so my wife can read them, she refuses to read off a screen), but paid market value for my digital copies of 'Eastern Standard Tribe' and 'Down and Out...' because I've gotten criticism from writers that I know for not 'paying' for my reading material (I download the e-book versions to read on my palm pilot or XO - which Cory graciously autographed with gold metallic ink). They have yet to wrap their heads around the concept of giving it away for free, and those that truly appreciate it will pay for it.

Being able to recompense a writer directly, without a large chunk being diverted to the traditional physical media production and distribution system feels right to me, and I sincerely hope I have opportunities in the future to do the same for other writers that follow Cory's distribution model.

Hey Cory - please get a wuffie system started, or maybe put a 'pay for your e-book' PayPal link on Craphound; that way I won't have to wait for you to come to town when the next book comes out.

The event was really nice and I'm really happy to have finally met Cory in person after missing him in Geneva and at another meeting at Bakka's!

Little Brother is awesome, had to read 100 pages from the moment I first opened it last night. Boy I'm tired (but happy) today!

"I'm really happy to have finally met Cory in person"

Is it true about the horns?

@Takuan

This is just too bizarre for me to process right now.
