Posters for "Evil Dead: The Musical"

Gord says: Back again, for its (I believe) third run in Toronto, is the hilarious Evil Dead: The Musical. I recently saw these awesome street posters and wanted to share. Link

The musical itself is even better than it sounds!
I saw them twice while they were peforming it as part of the Just For Laughs festival in Montréal, about three or four years ago.
If you loved the movies, you'll love the musical, it's as simple as that. Just don't sit in the front rows if you don't want to get drenched in blood.
The jokes are hilarious, the songs are just cheesy enough to also make you smile, but not enough to annoy people like me who generally don't like musicals.
Definitely worth seeing!
"It's like the musicals you love, only evil"
That's sounds like an xkcd-line :)
It is worth noting that the poster is an evil version of the Mamma Mia show poster. Even the font is the same.
Here is an image of the original.
I missed this poster, but when I was down on Queen this weekend I saw another one of these posters. This one featuring a Zombie Cosette from les Mis
How do they recreate the tree rape scene?
Here's photos from the media premiere - http://www.geocities.com/lostnprofound/evildead.html
(Unfortunately they just had rather weak lights and I couldn't use my flash) - the helmets are bowls from Honest Ed's department store, I believe.
The public premiere the next night was during the black out of 2003, so they had it outdoors.
Umm.. more like it's 4th, 5th or even 6th run in Toronto.
Tranzac (maybe twice?)
Bathurst St. Theatre
Diesel Playhouse Twice
And of course it's run in Montreal and New York. The little horror comedy musical that could.
It's fantastic. Get splatter zone seats if you can.
Awesome show. It's rare that you find a musical that's actually entertaining.
"Mamma Mia: Arthur Suydam variant"?
#7, yep, it played at Tranzac twice. Once in August 2003, then again in October 2003.

I was there for both Tranzac showings, the Bathurst showing, and again just recently in February at the Diesel. Good times!
Yes, they do have the tree rape scene.
This show is also running in Korea with a 90% female audience! They've toned down the gore but added a b-boy routine at the end...
Here's a few clips (sorry for the long url):

Ryan Ward plays Ash in the musical (which is a MUST see btw) and he recently co-starred in a short film I wrote which is currently playing at the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC called AboutFace.
Check it out for 6 minutes of Ryan's fantastic deadpan hilarity. :)

I want somebody to do "Basketcase: The Musical."
Did anyone else find that the fake blood stank? It was horrible! We were gagging, and I had to actually throw out the shirt.
As somebody who's been in a horror musical for two years in a row, I can say there is something inherently funny about people singing and dancing around while covered in fake blood.
I have GOT to see this one of these days.
#14, because I had my PVC goth gear on to go to the EBM party at Funhaus after the show I wore the ponchos they provide you with if you are sitting in the Splatter Zone. The small amount of blood that got managed to get on my arm had quite a bit of a reek to it. They do say that the "blood" is machine washable though, so you may have threw your shirt out for nothing.
AWESOME!!!!!!!!1
Where can i see them? Location wise?
