Boing Boing tv: snapshots from shoots.

BBtv: Compubeaver at Apple Headquarters

I just organized a bunch of snapshots from past Boing Boing tv shoots into a Flickr set. Link to photoset. Most of them I snapped and uploaded from my iPhone inbetween whatever we were shooting for the show, but the one above is kinda special. Here's the story, and the related episodes.

Oh, lord. A beaver shot.

Heh heh! I can tell the photo was taken not far from what was the infamous PepperMill restaurant, whose parking lot is adjacent the Apple campus.

PepperMill was a transplant from Las Vegas, and the waitress' outfits demonstrated it!

So what's there now? A place called BJ's!

Does anyone else see a certain irony in BoingBoing postings being sponsored by "Windows Mobile" or is it just me?

aahmyeyes...

One of the ways you subvert the dominant paradigm is by taking money from the dominant paradigm and using it however you want. by posting pics of Apple! or whatever...

yes, there is irony but i hope this isn't an attempt at taking the already dead horse that has been beaten to a bloody pulp and putting it through the blender... pardon the visual.

I guess so.

I wasn't trying to beat a dead horse, wasn't aware it had been discussed so frequently.

It's only been mentioned five or six hundred thousand times.

Ah, so you did keep count.

Insurgent paradigms are more interesting. Dominant paradigms have more money. I have no problem with the latter paying to support the former.

Make them Pay!

Oh, wow. FWIW, I hadn't posted the Compubeaver image shown here with the intent of raising a middle finger at the sponsor. I try *not* to be mindful of ad/editorial confluence, to keep blogger blinders on and just do our thing, without thinking much about whether something is going to please or annoy a given advertiser. That said, the sponsor in question (whose support we are grateful for, it keeps the server lights on and allows us to do this, instead of, say, waiting tables) might actually dig this image. You could interpret it as meaning that the Apple campus is infested by rodents, right? Those sharp teeth can't be good for profit margins.

Work with me here, people.

Yay for the Compubeaver! I have a deep respect for those who go for the ridiculous.
