I, for one, eagerly await Iron Man: The Trailer: The Movie. I heard it has a cameo by Jeff Bridges.

And they are going to turn the cameo appearance into a lead role...

Is the trailer, in fact, insanely popular? Where can you get info about the popularity of trailers?

That's about right! There are so many Speed Racer trailers out that there won't be any reason to see the actual film.

Industrial Iron God saves the planet from humanity's stupidity -- I wish!

But haven't you noticed that, with really great trailers, the great parts always get cut from the film version? The trailers are put together when the director is still in charge, but what shows up in the theater is what the focus groups thought would have broad appeal.

fact is, after you've seen the trailer for the latest comic book blockbuster, you've seen the "movie"

Agreed. There's an extended trailer for "The GOlden Compass" that shows scenes from the last three chapters of material from the book which is ENTIRELY CUT from the theatrical version. Even people who didn't read the book felt gyped.
