Boise pizzeria: "Think Spring, Boing Boing Boing!"

Brent sez, "'Think Spring, Boing Boing Boing' is presently displayed on the Flying Pie Pizzaria marquee in Boise, Idaho. I do not believe this was in any way a reference to Boing Boing, but I thought you might enjoy it. I have no affiliation with them (though they are a great local chain and their pizza and beer selection is outstanding)." Link (Thanks, Brent!)

Pizzaria? Shurely Shome Mishtake?

Being from New York, I probably wouldn't attempt to eat any pizza made in Ohio.
I certainly wouldn't eat it if they didn't know how to spell the word Pizzeria.

Apologies if this posts twice - got a server reset the first time.

#2: I don't think the Italian immigrants made it as far west as Boise, Ohio, so it's not surprising that they didn't know that pizze is the plural of pizza.

They obviously only make pizza in the singular. Must be damned 'spensive!

i want to post a reply but, how do you begin to address all the ignorance in the previous posts? the post clearly says Boise, IDAHO, and thinking that the there were no immigrants in the West is just plain silly. Western history is full of cultural diversity.

To the point though. Idahoans love the dining in our pizzAria. The pie is great and it's a wonderful dining experience. It compares very well with Chicago and NY (yes, I've lived in both cities)

When I was going to school in Iowa you could buy a t-shirt at the college book store that said, "University of Iowa, Idaho City, Ohio". There was a really good pizze place in town too. :)

Do they have dictionaries in Idaho? You know, those books that tell you how to spell things? I guess not.

I'm so glad someone sent that photo in--over the last week or so, I've thought of my favorite blog every time I've driven past my favorite pizza place. Incidentally, Flying Pie is an enthusiastic promoter of Pi Day, Talk Like a Pirate Day, and was responsible for adding the exclamation point to the city's semi-almost-famous "Library!" sign. http://www.flyingpie.com/library.html

And is it a coincidence that the "Flying Pizzaria" sign bears more than a passing resemblance to a certain venerated B-B meme--the Flying Spaghetti Monster!?!?!
