New issue of art magazine Hi-Fructose
The new issue of my fave art magazine Hi-Fructose has hit the stands. This edition -- with contributions by the mag's new editor-at-large Kirsten Anderson of Roq La Rue fame -- features art by Chris Mars, Xiaoqing Ding, Kukula, KRK Ryden, Amy Casey, and Naoto Hattori. The cover is by comix artist Paul Pope. For a big taste of the Hi-Fructose vibe, you can also check out the revamped Hi-Fructose site with art news, videos, and a calendar of upcoming openings.Link

This magazine is put together by the extraordinary talents of Annie Owens and Attaboy, they do almost everything themselves which is amazing when you look at all the effort put into the magazine. Ert O'Hara (formerly of Juxtapoz) is on board as well.
Thanks all! And speaking of the newsite, we can't thank Ert enough for pulling it of the muddy bog and breating new life in to it!
Thanks for pointing me towards this magazine, it sounds wonderful. I think I may have to get a subscription.
I was stopping in to say "Attaboy!" very knowingly and hiply, but then I read comment #1.
This is one of my favorite magazines, too -- it's certainly the prettiest, which counts for a lot in art and design, but it's also just kind of a lot more interesting than, erm, some others.
Yea, you guys are great! Congratulations on all the success!!!
I only recently discovered this magazine. I don't normally purchase magazines/subscriptions except for Juxtapoz and Giant Robot. Volume 6 had a most curious cover that caught my attention, and inside an interview with Audrey Kawasaki.
It's been a joy to flip through. Certainly well thought out, and a welcome addition to my list of "Magazines I Love."
