Occult Experience documentary from 1985

The Occult Experience, now on Google Video, is a terrific 1985 documentary featuring footage of such magickal folk as Anton LaVey, Selena Fox, Michael Aquino, and H.R. Giger.

As a random bit of trivia, this movie was sampled on Skinny Puppy's "Rabies" album (track #2, "Hexonxonx"), released in 1989.

An excellent time capsule of the Pagan/occult community from (nearly) 25 years ago. Now if only they would release it on DVD so I can replace my bit-torrented copy.

On a side note, as ridiculous as some of these rituals look, we should keep in mind that the only measurable difference between these religions from those we take for granted is quantity of adherents.

I think I saw Michael Aquino (the guy has very distinctive eyebrows) at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, one time, about twelve to fifteen years ago - he was with a much younger woman, both dressed all in black...

I've got this on VHS, though my copy disintegrates towards the end. Definitely due for the Criterion treatment.
