Manual Of The Diseases of the Eye

The fine folks at Morbid Anatomy spotted this delightful 1905 book, "Manual Of The Diseases Of The Eye" by Charles Henry My on Google Book Search. It's filled with curious illustrations, some more tear-inducing than others. Seen here, "The Media As Seen with Oblique Illumination and the Ophthalmoscope at a Distance. Pupil Dilated."

I'm having the same problem as Chr11s... :/

I love the wikipedia page on eye diseases, for some reason looking at the pictures of eyes with weird stuff is kind of interesting !! :S

This is excellent.

When I would come home from medical school for a weekend, friends would ask what I'd seen lately that was "gross". My usual reply was that I had no concept of gross.

This post reminds me of the lecture on eye trauma. It was a slide show. People were running from the room.

I've got two eye disease books of animal eyes that have a pop-up viewmaster included and viewmaster wheels of animal eye diseases in 3D!!!! Too cool not to look at... has anyone seen more medical viewmaster finds?

that link's not there. google sells me the book as being copyrighted or stuff - i can search within it and then get these wrips of paper with little or no content of the book.

maybe it matters from which country i access the service.
