Billboard Liberation Front: video of last night's hit
Earlier today, Xeni posted about the Billboard Liberation Front's improvement of an AT&T billboard last night in San Francisco. The BLF has just provided me with this link to video evidence of the shenanigans that occurred on a busy, well-lit thoroughfare in the heart of the Mission District. Footage by renegade videographer Iov de Beholther. Link

That's it! I'm renouncing AND rejecting your blog.

What brought that on? Yow.
I thought it was irony at its best when AT&T recently sponsored a movie about how evil the NSA is... (sorta) :
There was a commercial for AT&T in the previews when I saw "Jumper" a couple of weeks ago. It had strangers walking into your bedroom while a little girl was on the phone. The tag line was "AT&T: We'll never interrupt your conversations." (Oh what? Only listen in?)
Then in "Jumper," Samuel L Jackson's evil character identifies himself at first as an NSA agent, out to kill the protagonist.
The irony was delicious.

at+t = fail, the least we can do is to not let that wash over easily.
otherwise we risk effectively renouncing AND rejecting our OWN rights.
I would like to apologize to the Boing Boing community. Apparently, in the previous post on this subject (here: http://www.boingboing.net/2008/02/28/billboard-liberation-1.html), I expressed an unpopular view and/or used excessive sarcasm.
Fortunately, Teresa edited my post to protect the readers of this blog from my unpopular ideas. Thank you Teresa.
Can someone point me to the Boing Boing posting guidelines? I looked a little but didn't see them. I don't want to accidentally express any other unapproved opinions.
I find this to be a good starting point, even if I don't always take the advice myself.
Being sarcastic - not sardonic - seems to be the key.
Personally, I can't read the posts that have been disemvoweled, so I have no clue what your post used to say.
