Starbucks' three changes to formula today

Valleywag's Paul Boutin says:
I went to my local Starbucks and asked the barista to walk me through exactly what's different from yesterday in their drinks. She showed me three changes: A richer mix on the espresso machine, smaller steamer pitchers, and shot glasses into which all espresso is now poured first, so they can check it before serving it into a cup.

(And I have to brag: I can't find anyone else who actually REPORTED the story and got all 3 changes.)

Interesting. I was employed by Starbucks over 10 years ago now. These changes seem to simply revert back to the way it used to be. I remember commenting a few years back to a barista while waiting for my "grande" about how much the process had become automated. Something a la; "Back in my day..."
