Over at Cryptomundo, Loren Coleman presents a classic 1961 Looney Tunes cartoon, "The Abominable Snow Rabbit," starring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and a Yeti. Link
Thank you for allowing me to start my day with my all time favorite Looney Tunes. I actually begged for and got a bunny rabbit that I then named George because of it. Being five or six at the time, I wasn't quite well read enough to get the reference.
This cartoon was featured as a part of Daffy Duck's Quackbusters (a re-release of a lot of older luny toons cartoons seemingly tied together with a plot)
So very much fun! I remember the first time I realized that "George" was a reference to Of Mice and Men; suddenly I felt so -literate- thanks to my cartoon-watching ways =)
This ranks up there with the Bugs N' Daffy take on "Ali Baba & the 40 Thieves": "HASSAN CHOP!"
Best of all times, of course, is in the Wabbit Season/Duck Season one: "No more for me, thanksh, I'm drivin'!" Oh, and Pete Puma vs. Bugs:
B: How many lumps you want with your tea?
P: I don't drink tea; it gives me a headache.
B: What do you drink?
P: KAWFEE!
B: How many lumps you want with your coffee?
P: Oh, three or four... WHAM WHAM WHAM WHAM
Most people don't realize that the abominable snowman is based on the character Lennie of the classic novel "Of mice and men". In the novel Lennie, a mentally limited man, loves rabbits so much that he hugs them to death.
I made the association while reading the book in high school, which made it more interesting.

yeah, this is my favorite ever. I like to recite it just to embarass my young son.
Many other Loony Tunes cartoons, as well as Betty Boop, Popeye and many others are to be found on archive.org:

The only thing that compares to this is 'What's Opera Doc?', Looney Tunes' take on Wagner which is the best cartoon in the world.
If you can't get enough of abominable snowmen I recommend checking out "The Abominable Charles Christopher," a wonderful new webcomic by Karl Kerschl.
