Telecom immunity video

This video from People For the American Way and the Electronic Frontier Foundation features photos and interviews of people who don't want the telecoms to be immune from prosecution for illegally wiretapping US citizens.

Americans speak out against telecom immunity, urging Congress to stand up to the Bush administration and stop the spying. SIGN THE PETITION:

I think those that are holding the "Stop Spying" signs are missing the point. I agree that the telecoms should absolutely NOT get immunity, but this isn't about spying. It's about the Fourth Amendment. I'm not mad about the spying. I'm mad about the lack of warrants.

We are a nation of laws. Those that break the law (in this case, telecoms) do not deserve immunity simply because they thought they were being helpful in choosing to ignore those laws.
