Earthrise from Lunar orbit -- video
The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency carries stunning videos of Earthrise from the moon, shot with the Kaguya's cameras:

Kaguya carries two high-definition television cameras, each fitted with a 1,920 by 1,080 CCD. However, most of the movies are downsampled and cropped to 320 by 240 pixels (which is about half the resolution of a standard-definition TV). Almost all of the movies are from the wide-angle camera, which has a field of view spanning 51.23° by 30.17° and faces forward along Kaguya's orbit. The narrower-angle tele-camera has a field of view spanning 15.60° by 8.80° and faces backward. Typically, the cameras are employed in a time-lapse mode, and the movies play at 8x speed, but a few of the movies (especially Earthrise/Earthset movies) are shown at slower 4x or even real-time speeds.

Kaguya. You have the G and Y reversed in your intro.
More properly, "Earthrise from Lunar orbit." As you no doubt know, the Moon's rotation is tidally locked, so from most places on the Moon, the Earth never rises nor sets. There's still a tiny bit of libration in its motion, so I suppose it would be possible to find a point near the limb where the Earth is always near the horizon and occasionally dips below.
I would also expect that the phases of the Earth would be in the opposite order of that of the Moon.
Here are HR photos from the Apollo 17 'Blue Marble' Hasselblad magazine:

But this one from the Apollo 8 mission is my favorite:

Are there any cameras on the moon or in orbit that will catch tonight's solar eclipse on the moon by the earth?
@#5
Yes, but it's being shot down during the eclipse.
I heard, years ago, that this Japanese moon mission would be the first that would be able to photograph the Apollo landing sites. Anyone heard about that since it launched? I haven't found anything at the Selene mission website.
Looks like a habitable planet to me. Let's go!

Speaking of the Earth and Moon, there was a perfect eclipse last night. Very nice rusty colour.
