The British Library's Bodies of Knowledge online exhibition explores how the body has been viewed through history. The absolutely fascinating site features Ruysch's anatomical curiosities, Vitruvius's theories of beauty, illustrator Fritz Kahn's "body machines," circus freak shows, and a variety of other curiosities.
