SL: Huckabee Center for Liberation and Housing of Spermatazoan-Americans

Here's some interesting news from Second Life -- this week marks the launch of The Mike Huckabee Center for the Liberation and Housing of Spermatazoan-Americans.
"I've been saving Spermatazoan-Americans from the Tubesock Holocaust for years," [Director GenJCChristian] Homewood continued, "by liberating them and providing them homes in mason jars I kept in my cellar until I ran out of room. This facility gives me the space I need to continue to give them their freedom.Link (via Warren Ellis).Homewood got the idea to name the Center after presidential candidate Mike Huckabee when he heard Huckabee state his support for the Georgia Personhood Amendment and the Human Life Amendment to the United States Constitution. "I thought if Gov. Huckabee supports granting civil rights to embryo-Americans and to the little 70 cell blastocyst-Americans, then surely he supports the rights of our tiniest citizens, the spermatazoan-Americans," Homewood recalled.

For those of you (and me) who don't like to think about Mike Huckabee and sex in the same calendar month, he's supporting a ban on the most common and effective forms of contraception, like the Pill. Not the morning-after pill, the Pill pill. That thing that so effectively keeps you from being a grandparent at 35.
Is he the author of Every Sperm Is Sacred?
all i could think while reading this was huckabee as a repository. and then his wife would have to hold a press conference. there would be crying.
is his son on the no-fly list now? Bringing a loaded Glock to the airplane is enough?
If the media covered Huckabee's interesting views like they do Romney's Mormonism, he would be laughed out of the race.
Or else would win in a landslide.
Intolerance populism is election gold.
Antinous - The Pill pill? When has he said this?
(I ask not because I don't believe you, but because I want to be as educated as possible about this man's insanity. He will have to pry my birth control from my cold dead fingers.)
ooooh;
"Today, Governor Mike Huckabee is scheduled to travel to Georgia to commemorate the anniversary of Roe v. Wade. There he plans to join Georgia Right to Life to lend his support, as well as the focus of the national media, to HR 536. This legislation, also called the Human Life Amendment, is a state constitutional amendment that reclassifies the most effective and popular forms of contraception as abortion. The goal of the amendment is to create a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade while also defining life as beginning at fertilization. The anti-abortion movement believes that hormonal contraception (the pill, the patch, the depo shot, the nuva ring, the IUD) can destroy a fertilized egg. By setting in law the assertion -- the unproveable assertion -- that life begins at the moment of fertilization, the most common forms of contraception become abortion.:"
what a foul little man
What he said.
It was on Huffington Post, if you want to read the whole article. If you're a drinker, before reading the article might be a good time to start.
"Foul little man" indeed.
*sigh*
Welp, if we're getting rid of birth control pills and rings and patches, I guess outlawing condoms to protect the Spermatozoan-Americans is the next logical step.
Not that I think Huckabee will be our next president, or even the GOP nominee, but this man won in Iowa!
and do you remember the laughter when George W Bush was proposed as a potential president?
Actually, Huckabee's almost out of money, so we might be okay.
I remember when Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders mentioned that "masturbation should be taught" in public schools (as a part of the whole of human sexuality, not as specific . . . uhhh, "workshop") there was a letter to the editor in my local paper, some woman was so anguished knowing that "millions of lives were going to be wasted" every time some male masturbated. Unbelievable. There are a lot of obvious flaw with that reasoning that I'm sure I don't have to detail here, but the fact that people actually believe that kind of crap shows how weak our education is in the US, and how dangerous the "pro-lifers" can be (if they're willing to kill abortion doctors to "save lives", what would they do to a masturbator who kills millions every single day?)
It's also proof that ignorance is not necessarily bliss.
noctural emissions would be manslaughter then?
Involuntary manslaughter, but even if you only got an hour of jail time for each one, it's still a life sentence.
