Metafilter metadata statsdump

Here's a giant statsdump from Metafilter -- all the metadata from all of the MeFi sites. Unbelievably cool -- can't wait to see what people make of it: post stats, comment stats, favorites stats, contact data, and userids. Link (via Overstated)

I thought you were the king of Privacy, Cory. As a user over at MeFi, I wish they hadn't done this. I suppose much of it is scrapeable if they really wanted it but up to this point my contacts were private. My first thought was to create all sorts of ill-purpose mash-ups to illustrate exactly why this sort of easy access is a bad thing: wanna find the Secret MeFi Fetish Club? Pretty easy with this dump, etc.

I agree with Ogre Lawless. I'm a MeFi user and I'm not well pleased by this. It strikes me very much like Facebook introducing the stalker streams. It's not that the data wasn't technically available before, but that I didn't realize my usage was going to be subjected to statistical analysis by a wide variety of people.
