Boing Boing turns eight!

I love how Boing Boing the blog was launched on my birthday and the first post was Street Tech. I get a little present ever year when BB does the ceremonial posting of the first item. Yay me. Yay BB.

Happy birthday to BB and to Gareth!

It was my blog's 2nd anniversary a few weeks ago and it's quite a fulfilling feeling. Unlike magazines to which only your most faithful subscribers have access to the earliest issues, the web reveals all your work, for better or worse, on demand and clear as day. It's refreshing to be accountable - especially when such a reputable publication as Boing Boing is such a pleasure to read no matter what year you dial in to. Now how about some zine archives?

But bOING bOING is much older for me... It saved me from prolonged cyberpunk doldrums in the very early 90s and jump started me on the ribofunk lifestyle.

When are we going to get an archive of those classic print zines?
