10 years ago I was lucky to work at a company who brought Mr. Jones in for a talk about animation. He talked and drew at the same time and it was mind blowing to see the creator of all these childhood memories make those characters come to life oh so casually as he stood at an overhead projector. Pepe Le Pew? Woosh woosh woosh, there he was. Roadrunner? whish whish wish, done. And on and on. It was awesome.
Laak mah mama always tole me, art is as art does. But seriously, folks, good art. and as we know laaf is laak a box of Acme chaakOlots. Ya never know whutcha gonna get. God I love bb, ashamed to even say why.
I always considered Chuck Jones to be the best cartoon animator from my childhood. He knew what was up.

A spontaneously illustrated interview. That was so good. I love his stories, and his descriptions of the various Warner characters are pithy.
Ever read Chuck's book "Chuck Amok!" Good stuff! My daughter been on a "Grinch" kick (I know it's after Xmas). It's interesting reading the Seuss book and watching the Jones cartoon. You can see how much of the cartoon was pure Chuck Jones.
childhood memories? I still watch those VERY often. Coyote? Michigan Frog? The bear family that were brought the wrong child cause the pelican was drunk? Mel Blanc and the crew were geniuses!
Is that a Blackwing he's using?
