Video of people from 1 to 100 hitting a drum
"People in Order" is a 3-minute film that shows 100 people, from the age of one to 100, hitting a drum. It was made by Lenka Clayton and James Price. (Via Arbroath)

Old British people rock the best.
That's a cool idea, but out of 100+ people, they couldn't find 1 that could hold the sticks right or actually play? Maybe they did but wanted to keep the "ordinary people" look of the film, but I think at least one of those people should have had a clue how to play. I know, I know that's not really what the video was about, but still. Just a small rant about a small detail.
Reminds me of the Boredom's 77 Boadrum. Only that's 77 drummers playing at the same time, not sequentially. ;)

I dunno, DJQ - #41 was jammin' out pretty good.
I liked #87: "STOP THAT BANGING!"
That is so neat. Nothing says "It's great to be alive" like banging on a drum.
#89 looks familiar... is he an actor or something?
#59 is a WIZARD!!!
#100 ROCKS! "Is that it?" as if to imply she's going to be late for her sky-diving lesson. Hope she's around to do 120!
Ninety-one and playing the drums!
Love it!
#99 appears to be in great shape for his age. And #49's beard is almost freaky.
Where's all the over 100 year olds? ;)
Wait - she doesn't appear to have a beard...
I liked #15 (the cape!), #44 (the only person who actually seems to know how to play the drum), #59 (best hair ever), and #78 (the suit!) the best.
@#11/duo -- Did you mean #59?
It's interesting how the accents change around 70 or so.
That made me smile.
I created an account so I could say.... That was great. Really cool. There were a few extraordinary people, but it was just interesting to see the progression of ages.
That was great. I realized towards the end that I had a big ol' grin on my face.
I had exactly the same reaction as MEGAN64. One of the most wonderful things ever in bOING bOING's Directory Of Wonderful Things.
The unenthused drummers were almost as much fun to watch as the enthused ones.
Brilliant!
best post ever. just like megan64 said, huge smile on my face.
