Hamish sez, "A few years ago I found a collection of over 200 35mm Kodachrome slides of travel and marketing posters from the 1950's and 1960's. The text on the poster above says "You'll find strength (silu) in cheese (syru)" (Czech) :)

It pales in comparison to the shear volume of photos Hamish has put up, but I've got a few photos of some vintage travel posters from the 50s in an old blog entry: http://vintage-stuff.blogspot.com/2006/11/vintage-travel-posters.html

Hey folks! Thanks for the link, BB!

NB about the scans - I processed them down to 800pixels on the longest side deliberately - to do a higher resolution would have meant a lot more retouching and cleaning up - these slides are dusty and scratched up! Anyway there's been a lot of interest so over the next little while I'm going to keep an eye on which posters are the most viewed/favourited and then process them to higher resolutions... Anyone who wants to see the 800 pixel size can add me as a contact and I'll add them and then they can see "all sizes"...
