A Korean newscast reports on a hybrid breed of carp with "human faces." Not exactly human, but helllp-meeee freaky Fly enough to give me the willies.

This is a VERY ugly koi carp (doitsu matsuba variety?) with a deformed head. The nares (nostrils) look like the faces eyes. Add poor lighting and some distortion created by the water and VOILA! A web sensation!
paulr, dudefriend. did you read the page you linked to? because at the bottom, it, in fact, says that the fish in this particular video has been confirmed as real.
didn't our ancestors from way, way, way back come from the sea ... if people eat monkeys, what's the big deal here ... with the face, you know it's fresh. Let's eat!
Just from looking at the picture, it took me the longest time to see the intended "human" face. Instead, I would see a girl on the fish's back. (Follow the top and bottom edges of the right fin for the top and bottom of her dress, while the top of the left fin points towards her eyes.)
PaulR, a fish with markings that evokes a human face does not deserve your pseudo-skepticism. Images of faces can be found EVERYWHERE in this world by our anthro-centric brains.
This reminds me of something I saw on Cosmos the other day. Well there is this one species of crab that looks remarkably like a human face, because we superstitious humans did not the ones that looked like they had a human face and threw them back in the sea. So they evolved to look more like human faces.
seaman!
Creepy. Reminds me of the old Dreamcast game 'Seaman'... it was like Nintendogs, but not quite as cute.
Clearly the result of the evil USFK dumping formaldehyde into the Han River.
Its obviously an advertisement for Seaman that showed up 10 years late. Seriously, look it up, tell me I am wrong.
Funnily enough, if you click on the "the horrible contra fish" related video, you'll see a mention of Seaman.
The pictured fish looks like George Bush with an upside down Einstein cap followed by a Kewpie or manga doll face.
Faces, indeed
"Oh sh*t, it's Mr. Creosote!"
Um, why are these cryptozoological/ufo/ghost videos/images always sooo blurry?
'Cuz they're fake?

spoilsport.

Hybrid of what!?
It still has nothing on Man-Bear-Pig!
I stand corrected.
The in-focus, clear photo from the bottom of my link's page should accompany this article.
But then, the image would lose all its creepiness, I suppose.

I misread 'carp' as 'crap' at first glance. I'm not sure which would be more disturbing.
@ Procrastinet - I saw the Python as well!

Maybe carp will start looking human-like 1000 years from now.
weird...
