Something fascinating and surreal about a massive concrete abstraction sitting essentially neglected or alone in some of the out of the way places these sit.
Agree with Lone, it's almost to the point where they just don't make sense. Especially that "TIE Fighter," I don't even have a suitable frame of reference for it. It's so big and so stark and abandoned - you can just hear the wind whistling by.
on my way to Montenegro once, me and my friends got kinda lost..well actually took a route away from the highway..and on top of a hill we stopped at a similar monument like these...it was a series of concrete pieces-of-art connected by little concrete paths, and at one point there was even a round spot which faced 8 steps..if you sat on the steps and listened to a person speak at that point it was as if the person was talking into a microphone...perfectly calibrated acoustical space.. i was stunned..actually glad to live in this country.. :)

The rightmost monument looks just like an angel from Neon Genesis Evangelion. I wonder when a giant robot is going to jump into the picture to fight it. ^_^
I really, really like the giant TIE fighter - is that a previously unknown heavy version?

Kinda creepy, but I can't stop looking at it.

#12: "Jazz Hands!"
I'm surprised that no one has made a goatse reference with regards to the "TIE fighter".
Oh, wait... damn. Sorry.
@ #7 oh, man, don't ever do this to me again! :D i looked up goatse on google...first i almost cried, but i've been laughing ever since :)))
Remind me of the Division Bell.
Straight outta Zardoz!
Why aren't these monuments more well-known? They are absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Are there more like this in Yugoslavia?
They look like Zondars from King of Braves GaoGaiGar. Or maybe Space Monsters from Gunbuster?
Monuments were build to glorify the heroic partizan resistance on biggest nazi offensives during WWII.
