Mad Staring Santa of Les Gets, France
Today in my ongoing series of photos from my travels, the mad staring Santa icon of the little French alpine ski village of Les Gets. The town puts these cavernous-nostrilled Santas all over the place (this stereophonic version was in a schoolyard, no doubt to give the kiddies santamares). He's a decidedly Old Testament Santa, a drunken, smelly, angry Santa who knows exactly who's been naughty. Link

The double image of Santa is not a stereo. I would have to seee the original to understand why a reversed Santa is side by side. For support to stand up, or to be seen from two different directions? The photo asks many questions.
