Dragontail sushi on Brick Lane

Today in my ongoing series of photos from my travels, a beautiful array of dragontail sushi for sale at a food stall in the busy, wonderful Brick Lane markets in East London. I live about ten minutes away and try to go most Sundays -- there's always something new to see there. Unfortunately, I completely struck out at finding office space in the neighbourhood (it's blisteringly expensive around there, which doesn't bode well for the artisans who work and sell there), but I still love to head down. We're going this morning, in fact, right at opening-time, trying to beat the xmas crowds. Link

Sushi, how I miss thee.
I have 2 sushi questions.
What do the want you to do with the shrimp tail? Do you rip it off or do they expect you to eat the damn thing?
Just how do you eat Ikura in public? Do you just woof the whole thing down? Lotsa times I get Ikura that's huge and if you take a small bite the dry seaweed or the salmon eggs makes a mess.
I bought the deluxe Steamboy DVD boxset from a market just off Brick lane. Brand new with included art book. Sweet.
I just created an account to tell you that.
For £6!
Ah, looks great! which stall was that? I used to live in the area but had to move up to Hackney because of the cost of living round there. It's a shame you probably missed the best of Spitalfields market before it was converted into an extension of the high-street styles.
CubeJockey, I always give my shrimp tails to my husband. He likes them; I don't.
The stall is in the Upmarket, off the Truman Brewery.
