Beatnix: Beatles "performing" Stairway to Heaven video mashup

This superb video mashup from The Beatnix takes fuzzy footage of the Beatles fuzzy footage recreating the Beatles in concert and seamlessly converts it to a pleasepleaseme-esque rendition of Stairway to Heaven. John Scalzi promises it'll make your head explode and he's not far wrong. Link (via Making Light)

Are you sure that's Beatles concert footage and not a recreation?

I'm not sure myself, but Beatnix are a real Beatles covers band, and it's easy enough to make fuzzy footage.

The clip comes from the Australian TV show "The Money or the Gun" which featured a different band performing Stairway to Heaven every week. There were some treasures there.

...Oh man, this is classic! It actually puts Stairway to Gilligan out to pasture, and with the added effect of making John Bonham not only turn over in his grave, but puke his guts out at least one more time!

Now, if only someone would put up bootlegs of the Pop-O-Pies doing *all* of their Truckin' versions...

Yeah, that's not original Beatles footage.

Oh, Cory. Shame on you for thinking that was actually the Beatles! Did the fact that no one in the video actually looks like John, Paul, George or Ringo not tip you off?

@KLG19 - They're good imitiations, I thought it might have been some nice CG work before I took a close look, although 'Paul' being right handed should be a pretty clear giveaway.
