Machine Girl trailer: 1 girl, 1 arm, 1 gun, pure win.
Here's the trailer for Noboru Igushi’s forthcoming feature Machine Girl (aka "The One-Armed Machine Girl," aka "Kataude Mashin Gâru"). The eaturing "yakuza ninjas, flying guillotines, a drill bra, a Japanese teenage schoolgirl," and lotsa blood, according to this item on slashfilm. (thanks, Jason Wishnow!)

I just don't know what part I like the best.
I love the Yakuza, Ninjas, Tempura, Sushi, Chainsaws bit. "Look at all of these sinister things. And sushi."
Also, the realistic blood is a nice touch.
Props to Xeni for posting about some horror films.
i really enjoyed Sukeban Boy by Igushi. He remindes me of a cross between Takashi Miike and Ryuhei Kitamura. cant wait for its ship to come into the bay. Because it sure wont be coming to a theater near me.
No, no lasting psychological fallout from the Second World War over here AT ALL.
that just looks ridiculous. can't wait till its on netflix,
YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!
Meh.
The beginning of the trailer was promising, but then it just got silly.
The beginning of the trailer was promising, but then it just got AWESOME.
fixed.
I feel dumber after watching that. I actually feel dumber after watching most movie trailers. If this keeps up, soon my intelligent quotient will be pretty close to 0.
That looks like one of those Photoshop jobs where they throw in the squirrel with big balls, the mustard guy, the Star Wars kid, the Moran guy, and the Peter Pan guy.
I.e. you're piling on a lot of individually entertaining things and amounting to total crap.
This may not be work safe as it may cause you to jump out of your chair and scream that is AWESOME! Causing mass panic and hysteria as no one feels anything at work is awesome this will cause other employee’s to question why they are at work and cause a general riot.
More of this kind of coverage please. There has to be a way to get this thing distributed in the states. I am going to contact my local art house theater (Cinema 21 in Portland OR) and let them know this movie exists.
"THE VIDEO YOU ARE TRYING TO WATCH CANNOT BE VIEWED FROM THIS WEBSITE."
Wild Zero did it first, Wild Zero did it better.
Hooray for the Lefty!
I really enjoyed the trailer, but I have a feeling that it is much better at a minute and a half than at 75 minutes (or however long the film is). Sometimes trailers are much better than the full film.
It looks great and I would definitely go see it, but I refuse to believe that there is anything such thing as a "normal high school girl", esp. in Japan.
After all, we all know when they're not out beating the mob into the ground, they're riding cyber-assisted motorcyles in form-fitting hardsuits, fighting Ro-Beasts or hailing Il Pallazo and trying to take over the City(and/or the world).
oh ABQ HALSEY, rock and roll zombies is another genre altogether. this is more of the transgressive schoolgirl yakuza revenge genre, or just simply the revenge genre which has been popular in east asia for the last 100 years.
DAYYYmmm! It is so on!
I'm emotionally erect.
Lovely. This looks so over-the-top. Can't wait for DVD.
This is 'Snakes on a Plane' with extra asian.
The trailer gets an 11 out of 10.
Inevitably, the movie will be a 4. But hey, enough of these over the top high-concept jams, ONE of them is bound to pay off.
I will be there when it happens.
Come back to me with a film that is good and has no violence. this makes me sick. how about a good story?
This trailer feels similar to the "El Machete" Trailer before one of the Grindhouse movies... I'll only believe that there is going to be a real movie behind this when I see it. :)
Has Quentin Tarantino said "Grindhouse" yet?
>> 1 girl, 1 arm
this isn't another one of those 2 girls 1 cup things is it? i dont think my monitor can take any more of that :oP
Are all Japanese films now look like something they filmed for a tv soap opera, or is that something that just happens to the trailers.
You know, they put this "film effect" on movies, all movies has a "film effect", but it seems that recently more and more japanese film trailers look like something out of their weekly tv soap.
I'm not talking about special effects, just the... film quality.
that tempura bit was brilliant.
I love the Yakuza, Ninjas, Tempura, Sushi, Chainsaws bit. "Look at all of these sinister things. And sushi."
Also, the realistic blood is a nice touch.
Falk (23), allow me to recommend Oedipus Rex, Hamlet, and All Quiet on the Western Front.
