This will make a nice, little knick-knack to keep on my office desk for visitors to fiddle with.

I used to do Origami as a teenager and this has sparked my interest once again in the lost art of paper folding - bravo!

A similar papercraft toy can be found in Mathematical Origami by David Mitchell. I have a pattern for it linked from an old web page. (www.antigravitypress.com/Math) I called it the Magic Donut.

The overuse of tape in these projects is sad. It's unsightly & makes for a hasty, structurally unsound model. Adding tabs & gluing segments together may take more time but makes for a much sturdier, cleaner finished model.
